The Consistent Writer Coaching Program
Get clear. Get consistent. Get confident.
1:1 coaching to help you create a consistent writing plan that works for your needs, to understand and calm the negative thoughts that stop your flow, and build confidence to write your story, even just for you.
Writing is the one thing in this world you have to do.
But you just can’t do it consistently.
You start and stop. You second-guess yourself. You get overwhelmed wondering where to go next. Exhausted, you doom scroll social media and promptly feel worse seeing other writers dazzle.
Your ideas don’t fit the ‘norm’. Perhaps you are part of the diaspora and you often feel your story is too brown for white audiences and too white for brown folks.
Maybe you have access needs. You might live with chronic illness that leaves you too tired to write. Or you’re neurodivergent and don’t know how to focus on your writing ideas.
So you procrastinate.
Your brain might not even acknowledge these obstacles, instead filling your mind with whispers of, “You’ll never amount to anything, you are a failed writer.” You nod in silent agreement as you keep scrolling, eating raw cookie dough from the back of the fridge- may as well crash and burn all the way, at least that you can accomplish.
If you’re honest with yourself, you recognize that you say writing is a priority, yet you don’t treat it as such.
And you don’t know why.
What you do know is you want to be consistent in your writing.
You want writing to feel fun. Like when you were a kid. You want that ‘yes’ feeling when things flow and you know what you're writing is good.
Here’s what else you know:
it’s taking more energy to not write than it would to write
you want to speak your truth without fear of judgement
you want to see progress over perfection
you want to maintain your own motivation throughout a piece of writing
you want to be able to sit down and just do it
You’ve tried it all: residencies, workshops, classes, accountability groups. These help, sorta.
While you’re in that program, you’re writing, you’re flowing.
But soon after the program or workshop is over, the writing energy wanes. Fades. Stops.
Some time goes by and the whole cycle repeats.
You’re tired of the cycle, but you don’t know how to break it.
Here’s the thing that no one talks about:
There’s writing. And then there’s your THOUGHTS about your writing. Those inner voices that tell you you’re not good enough.
These are actually two different things. And the second, the THOUGHTS about your writing, is what no one talks about.
It’s your thoughts about your writing that I’m here for.
Hi, I’m Phi Petigara
I work with writers who aren’t writing.
I help you identify the exact THOUGHTS that stop you from writing. And I teach you TOOLS to write consistently and confidently.
I get the struggle. I’ve lived it. I taught myself to write over twenty years ago. I know imposter syndrome, perfectionism, fear of judgement.
When I began to examine my thoughts about my writing, it changed everything.
My thoughts stopped being booming voices of authority (and doom). I chipped away at a lifetime of perfectionism. I learned to set tiny writing goals and achieve them.
And then, I truly came into myself as a writer.
I help you with just this.
WHAT YOU REALLY NEED TO WRITE CONSITENTLY:
I help you to:
create tiny, manageable goals so your writing shuffles forward
identify the exact thoughts that are sabotaging you and reframe them
set a writing plan that works for you- your energy, your neurodiversity, your chronic illness, etc.
So that you can sit down and write with ease (instead of reaching for the sponge because there’s another dishwashing emergency).

Fundamental Pillars of the Program
We start by setting you up with the fundamentals (described below). After that, we help you integrate them. There is no fixed number of sessions you ‘need to do’ with me. We work togehter for as long as it’s helpful to you.
Pillar 1: Clarity on Your Inner Voices
we get down and dirty with WHAT your inner voices say
you learn TOOLS to work through each thought so they no longer sabotage you
we do this gently, even laughing along the way (I’m not joking!), so that the inner voices aren’t freaking out even more, but are truly loosening their grip
we track your progress over time as you integrate the tools so your writing becomes unstuck, and then flows
Pillars 2 and 3: Your Why & Your Who
clarity on why you write
breakdown of your why on the macro level (your larger why) and the micro (for individual projects)
clarity on who you write for so your writing is confident, true, and self-motivated
guided meditations to get you rooted solidly in your why and who
the why and who become your compass and your way back to your flow
Pillar 4-8:
Your Writing Plan
we get realistic about a writing plan that will work for you where you’re at right now (including your access needs, your energy levels, your available spoons, and your other responsibilities)
we adjust it along the way so that first and foremost, it feels doable and NOT another thing you are beating yourself up for not doin
IS THIS SOUNDING GOOD TO YOU?
The first step in working with me is to book your first free session.
Why free?
A) This work is deep and tender. It won’t work if we don’t fit well together.
B) It’s hard to get a sense of its power if we talk about it theoretically. Trying it out is the best way to see if it feels right for you.

FAQ
-
A: Yes and No. Our first priority is to help you free your mental landscape (tend to the inner voices). Once you feel that is integrating, we can absolutely move on and examine your writing together, if you so choose.
-
A: Yes! You don’t have to have a project you’re working on at the moment. Though you might end up with one you’re super stoked about by the end of the course:)
-
A: Writing courses teach writing itself: dialogue, scene, story arc. This course is about your THOUGHTS about your writing. It’s your thoughts that stop your flow or send you second-guessing.
It’s like your writing gift is the slick car you own- but it keeps stalling on the highway. This program teaches you to be your own mechanic so your ‘car’ always runs smooth. You always have the right wrench in your back pocket (people use wrenches on cars, right?) to get yourself back ‘on the road’.
-
A: There are reduced prices available at times. Please email me to discuss further.
-
A: We have our 60 minute coaching calls. You choose the frequency.
The rest of the time commitment is up to you. You may choose to write for one hour per week, or more or less (we talk about all of this a lot). This very thing is part of our work: how much time do you commit to writing and WHY.
