what a session looks like

Each person is different. You may have a very clear sense of what you want, or we can create something together. Some folks are clear in wanting a Reiki session. Some need body work to release physical pain and follow it up with some Reiki. Some need yoga movement and meditation. Some people need different things on different days. Once we establish what your healing goals are, we move towards them with whatever tools are called for.

intentional self-care means commitment

All the above modalities lead to self-care.

Self-care is not about sitting to meditate when you feel like it, going to a yoga class when it fits your schedule.

This is self-care for transformation, for radical change, for radical self-love, for resilience, for social change. This self-care is mandatory. It is intentional. It takes commitment. It takes consistency. Like eating every day for your survival, you must tap into your self-care every day for your survival - and eventual thrive-al.

Part of our work together is to help you build a sustaining and consistent home practice of self-care. This in itself will be a journey towards self-healing and self-love. I want to help you develop a self care practice that becomes second nature, like putting on your clothes every morning, not because I told you to, but because you value it, you value you.

Why this process? Because it takes time to build this practice. Because doing it with support sets us up for more success than trying to do it alone. Again, we nourish ourselves every day, we exercise regularly, self-care is the same. Necessary and long-term.

what if I don’t wanna?

You may experience a period of resistance. This is part of the work! You may feel like cancelling a session, or bailing altogether. Staying committed is part of the work. In fact, it is in these periods of resistance that we are building strong self-care muscles.

For these reasons, I don’t offer one-off sessions. You’re welcome to try a session, of course. However, after that, I ask for a minimum six month commitment and most of my clients stay with me for years.

how we proceed

Step 1: Book a free 20 minute consultation.

The consultation is a vital first step. During this time, you tell me what you’re looking for, I tell you how I can support. We make sure we are a good fit.

Step 2: Choose your time slot and keep it sacred

Choose a day and time you know you can commit to. While rescheduling is sometimes possible, it is not encouraged. This is part of the journey- committing to yourself, to the work and to me.

Step 3: Enjoy the journey

This is my favorite part: being a witness to your journey. Come back week after week and share small steps you are taking that are actually huge steps, long-lasting steps, of your self-care journey.
