3-week “Intro to Meditation Series”: October 17, 24 &31, 2020

11 am- 12:30 pm PST

You don't have to be a monk to meditate. You don't have to go to a mountain retreat for a month or meditate every day for 3 hours.

In this workshop, you will learn how to make meditation work for you. To meet you where you are. If you have a very stressed, busy, anxious mind, if you have trouble falling and staying asleep due to mental chatter, this class is for you.

I teach folks to work with their humanity, not against it. I teach you to find a balance between holding yourself accountable and also being gentle with your own habits and blockages, working to shift them slowly and intentionally.

I use an easy approach, starting with the basics, teaching folks to sit for just 5 minutes a day. That is enough!

In this class, you will learn:

~ finding a comfortable meditation posture

~ breathing exercises (called pranayama) to settle the body and prepare the mind

~ simple breath awareness meditation

~ working with inner blockages and judgements

~ most importantly: tools for starting slow and making the practice stick!
